This post introduces a workaround to make 4K MP4 files shot on a DJI Action 2 well compatible with DaVinci Resolve without glitches. If you are trying to figure out Final Cut Pro X and Premiere Pro CC workflow with DJI Action 2 H.265 MP4 videos, you may wish to read it.
The DJI Action 2 is a bold attempt at an alternative action camera – and while we’re fans of its modular design, this does come with some practical limitations. Able to shoot video at up to 4K, the DJI Action can’t climb as high as the GoPro Hero 10 Black when it comes to resolution. The wide field of view is great for shooting video, and even when shooting by hand, the footage is extremely stable. Color reproduction is nice and vibrant, and auto exposure is accurate. Video is saved in MP4 (H.264 or HEVC) format.
